Ocean Park Hong Kong

One of the other main attractions for our trip was Ocean Park, which is a massive amusement park that sprawls over one of the mountains on Hong Kong Island.  Reid was pretty excited about it as he boldly proclaimed that Disney was a little weak on rides.  It would have been great if all of the kids were teenagers because then we could have let them do their own thing all day.  As it was, we had to break into groups due to the height restrictions.  Rowan and I headed off for the afternoon and Riley was torn up that he couldn't go on everything that Reid did.  In the end though, we all had a good time even though the food was terrible!!!

At the main entrance, ready to go!

Nothing makes Christmas more surreal than a Chinese snow globe headed elf / Santa?

We had to take another tram to the top of the mountain to access about 2/3 of the park.  Pictured below is the front entrance section.

This is about another 1/3rd at the top of the mountain.  Rowan and I were in a tower that takes you up to the top nice and slowly...

Rowan posing with a Chinese Sturgeon flower display.  He's doing the peace sign, which is VERY popular with the Chinese for pictures.

Rowan and I headed down the log flume (at the start of the ride), which was very similar to Busch Gardens Williamsburgs'.

Can you see the look of sheer terror on his face?  Poor guy!

Now this is a good one.  Tough guy Reid with his eyes closed, Rebecca bracing herself for the splash, and Riley feelin' the need for speed!
